Daniel FäldtI have always developed my own websites from scratch, mostly using php and mysql. The hard core of software development… Today I took a step towards being a “software configurator” instead of developer. You are just looking at the result from it. Moved everything to a predeveloped WordPress site instead.
The major work right now is to do the customizations needed…it’s really a lot of work! Also converted my old guestbook into the WordPress plugin guestbook.
Don’t know if I really like it…is this really easier?

Yeah, didn’t really look into it too much. Found WordPress already installed at my web hotel ready to be used.
Isn’t that the way it should be? There is actually a lot of plugins, themes or whatever at WordPress. But of cause it is still WordPress…not so cool.

WordPress? Did you look at Jekyll or gitblog?

I found jekyll serving my requirements good. Would have liked to use github but would need to run git on the server, maybe something you could have solved?
